Patch v1.011 (October 13)
Official notes, checked October 16, 2026. This is on top of the invite-code flow below.
- Server list: browse public games. A full game still appears, but you cannot join it. The host chooses Public or Private. From the pause menu the host can set each player’s permissions and kick.
- Text chat: Enter opens the box, Esc cancels. New lines show at the bottom.
- Voice: push-to-talk is V by default, or switch to voice activation. Pick microphone and speaker; the choice is remembered. Microphone and voice-chat volume sliders now actually change the volume, and voice chat is louder by default. Mute a player from the pause menu. A talk icon shows above a speaking player, and on your HUD while you talk.
- New kitchen gear in the same patch: anchovies as a pizza topping, an Auto Cutter that chops for you and can be upgraded to go faster, plus a slot machine and Plinko. Those are not required to host a game. The same update added two new wall styles with a matching pillar, two ceilings and a floor to the shop customization list, and fixed achievements that were not unlocking as intended, the UI volume setting not saving, and some missing localizations.
Earlier multiplayer fixes (v1.009–v1.010)
- v1.010: dough prepared by staff no longer shows at the wrong size for guest players, a player can no longer force another player’s held item to drop, and when two players repair the same station the completion is credited to the right person.
- v1.009: held items now re-synchronize through the server — guests used to see them invisible or as the wrong item — and item effects and sounds now play for guest players too. Dough state also shows correctly for everyone.
Quick answer
Official Confirmed: Pizza House Simulator supports online co-op for up to 6 players. The Steam page lists both single-player and online co-op.
Full Release Video Tested: In full-release footage, a host opened the in-game invite-code flow, sent the code through Steam, and the second player joined successfully. The same session showed both players working in the restaurant and treating the starting cash as a shared pool.
How to play with friends
- Start or load a multiplayer restaurant.
- Open the multiplayer/invite option and reveal the invite code.
- Send that code to your friend through Steam or your normal chat app.
- Your friend joins the session; confirm that both players can see the same tutorial state and restaurant.
- Split jobs before opening the restaurant so two players do not keep blocking the same prep station.
The game has also supported Steam co-op invites in official update notes. If a code fails after a patch, try the normal Steam invite path before assuming the save is broken.
| Team size | Suggested split |
|---|---|
| 2 players | One kitchen (dough, sauce, toppings) + one front of house (orders, trays, tables, restock) |
| 3+ players | Add one dedicated prep/restock player so the assembler stays on the pizza line |
| Any size | Split jobs before opening so two players do not block the same station |
Good two-player role split
A simple early split is kitchen + front of house. One player keeps dough, sauce and toppings moving; the other accepts orders, serves finished trays, clears tables and restocks. With three or more players, assign one person to prep/restock so the pizza assembler does not leave the line during a rush.
What is verified vs still unclear
Verified: six-player online co-op, working invite-code flow in full-release footage, multi-player access to restaurant tasks.
Video Tested: shared money was observed in a full-release session. Treat that as build-specific tested behavior rather than a permanent design promise until the developers document it directly.
Unverified: dedicated server hosting and rentable persistent servers are not confirmed in the official sources used for this guide.
