Observed full-release upgrade prices (video-tested)
Prices are build-specific observations, not permanent values.
Upgrade the bottleneck, not the prettiest station
Official launch material says each workstation can receive multiple upgrades and that some upgrades change how the station works, not just a number.
In tested early full-release footage, players saw example station upgrade prices such as $120 for dough makers, $160 for a fridge, $150 for sauce makers and $250 for an oven. Those values should be treated as build-specific observations, not timeless prices.
Practical priority
- Dough/sauce throughput if customers are waiting because the basic production stations cannot keep up.
- Storage if you repeatedly run out of organized cold space or lose time moving ingredients.
- Oven if baking is the clear queue after your prep line is stable.
- Fryer when side orders actually become a meaningful share of demand; upgrading it before you use the fryer line is wasted early cash.
Upgrade vs hire
A station upgrade increases throughput at one part of the kitchen. A staff hire removes an entire category of walking or repetitive work. If you spend most of the shift clearing tables, a buser may outperform a marginal kitchen upgrade. If pizzas stack up before baking, improve the line instead.
Post-launch upgrade notes (v1.005–v1.008)
- v1.005: cosmetic unlocks redistributed evenly across 35 levels — every level now unlocks something. Station upgrades also spread more evenly; the oven’s “Pizza Ready” bell upgrade moved to an earlier level. Kitchen counter and wall material unlocks reordered (wood earlier, marble/metal later).
- v1.007: station upgrade prices adjusted; table customization prices are cheaper.
- v1.008: shared station ingredient inventory unlocks with Lv4 Pizza Chef perks — station-focused upgrades now compound across stations.
Q&A
What should I upgrade first?
Upgrade the station that is currently limiting orders. Early footage suggests dough/sauce upgrades can matter before a fryer you are not using yet.
Are the upgrade prices fixed?
The numbers on this page are full-release video observations and may change with balance patches.
Should I hire staff or upgrade equipment?
Hire when walking/repetitive tasks are the bottleneck; upgrade when one production station cannot keep up.
